ALOO MATAR CURRY
(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)
Preparation Time : 10 Minutes
Cooking Time : 15 Minutes
Ingredients Required:
1. Oil- 3 to 4 Tsp
2. Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp
3. Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 1 Tsp
4. Chopped Tomatoes - 1 Cup
5. Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
6. Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
7. Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tsp
8. Turmeric Powder-1/2 Tsp
9. Black Pepper Powder -1/2 Tsp
10. Peas (Matar) - 1 Cup
11. Diced Potatoes - 1 Cup
12. Salt - 1 Tsp
13. Water - 2 Cups
Procedure
Step 1:
1. Heat 3 tsp of oil in a Cooker, Add 1 tsp of Mustard Seeds and 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds. Let it Splutter.
Step 2:
1. Add 1 cup of Chopped Tomatoes and Saute it until tomatoes become mushy (appx 2 to 3 Minutes)
Step 3:
1. Then Add Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder Garam Masala Powder and Black Pepper Powder, Saute it for few Minutes.
Step 4:
1.Add 1 cup of Peas(Matar) and 1 cup of Diced Potatoes, cook for 5 Minutes.
Step 5:
1. Add 2 Cups of Water, You can vary the amount of water depending upon curry consistency you need.
Step 6:
1. Close the lid and cook for 3 pressures.
Step 7:
1. After 3 Pressure, Mix well. Aloo Matar Curry is Ready to Serve.
Serve it with Roti/ Chapathi/ Dosa/ Idli etc
