CAPSICUM MASALA CURRY

(Step by Step procedure with photos)



Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients Required: 

For Masala Paste:



1. Fried sesame seeds- 2 Tsp
2. Fried Peanuts- 1/2 cup
3. Fries Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
4. Fried dry red chillies- 1 cup

For Gravy: 


1. Chopped onions- 1 cup
2. Chopped Capsicum- 1 cup
3. Oil- 3 to 4 Tsp
4. Red Chilli Powder- 1 Tsp
5. Salt- 1 Tsp
6. Cumin Seeds- 1 Tsp
7. Garam Masala powder- 1 Tsp
8. Turmeric Powder-1/4 Tsp

Procedure:

Step 1:


1. Add Fried Grated coconut, Sesame seeds, Peanuts and Dry red chillies in a Mixing Jar

Step 2:


1. Grind them without adding water, And make a Course Masala powder.

Step 3:


1. Take a pan, Heat 3 Tsp of oil in a medium flame. Add Cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. After a Minute add 1 Cup of Chopper onions. Saute until onions becomes golden brown.

Step 4:


1. Add 1 cup of chopped capsicum, saute it for few minutes(app 2-3 minutes)

 Step 5:


1. Add Red chilli powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and Salt. Saute it and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 6:


1. Add previously grounded powder (Refer Step 1)

Step 7: 


1. Saute it and Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 8: 


1. Add 1 cups of water, and let it boil for 2 minutes over medium flame.

Step 9: 


1. Close the lid and cook until curry becomes thick, (app 5 to 10 minutes)

 Step 10:


1. After 10 minutes, Turn off the flame and give it a good mix. Transfer curry in a serving bowl


Serve it with Roti/ Chapathi or with white rice.
