PALAK MATAR CURRY| PALAK PEAS CURRY|
PREPARATION TIME: 10 MIN
COOKING TIME: 20 MIN
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
1. Spinach leaves- 2 bunches
2. Green chillies- 3 to 4 no.
3. Oil- 3 Tsp
4. Cumin seeds/ Jeera- 1 Tsp
5. Chopped onions- 1 cup
6. Chopped tomatoes- 1/2 cup
7. Chopped carrots- 1/2 cup
8. Green peas/ Matar- 1/2 Cup
9. Red chilli powder- 1 Tsp
10. Coriander powder- 1 Tsp
11. Salt- 1 Tsp
HOW TO MAKE
STEP 1:
1. Boil Spinach leaves and Green chillies in 1-2 cups of water. Let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
STEP 2:
1. Let the spinach cool down. Then transfer it to a mixer and make a fine puree.
STEP 3:
1. Heat Oil/ Ghee in a kadai. Add Cumin seeds and let it splutter.Then add chopped onions and tomatoes. Fry them for 2 minutes
STEP 4:
1. Now add chopped carrots, green peas and grounded puree. Fry the gravy till it start leaving oil on the sides.
STEP 5:
1. Add Red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder. Give it a good mix.
STEP 6:
1. Close the lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
STEP 7:
1. Palak matar is ready. Serve hot along with Roti/ Chapati or any Indian Breads
