INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
- 1 cup of Fresh/ Desiccated coconut
- 2 Tablespoons of Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 Tablespoon Chana dal
- 1 Tablespoon Urad dal
- 1 String Curry leaves
- 2 Green chillies, finely chopped
- 2 Cups of Cooked Rice
- 1 Teaspoon salt
QUICK LOOK OF RECIPE:
- Heat oil in a pan, add Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, green chillies, curry leaves, Saute it for a minute.
- Add fresh or desiccated coconut and saute for 2 minutes over low flame.
- Add cooked rice, salt and give it a good mix.
- Cover the lid and steam it for 5 minutes over low flame.
- And enjoy the coconut rice when it is hot.
HOW TO MAKE:
(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)
1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it splutter for 30 seconds. Also add urad dal, chana dal, curry 1leaves, green chillies and saute it for a minute over low medium flame.
3. Saute it for 2 to 3 minutes over low flame.
4. Add cooked rice and Salt.
5. Give it a good mix.
6. Cover the lid and steam it for 5 minutes over low flame.
Coconut Rice is ready to serve.
