PADAVALKAYI PALYA RECIPE

Padavalkayi Palya | Snake Guard Stir Fry |

Ingredients Required:

FOR PASTE

1. Grated Coconut- 1/2 cup
2. Chopped Coriander leaves- 1/2 cup
3. Green Chillies- 2 to 3 no.


FOR STIR FRY

1. Oil- 2 tsp
2. Mustard Seeds- 1/2 tsp
3. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
4. Chana Dal- 1 tsp
5. Diced Snake Gaurd/ Padavalkayi- 2 cups

HOW TO MAKE

1. Take a mixing jar, add grated coconut, green chillies and coriander leaves.

2. Add little water and grind into a paste.

3. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chana dal. Let it shutter for a few seconds.


4. Add diced padavalkayi/ snake guard to it and saute it for 2 min.


5. Add previously grounded green paste to it. Saute and cook for 2 min.


6. Add water according to the consistency you prefer. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.


7. After 5 minutes, healthy padavalkayi Palya is ready to serve.


8. Serve hot with roti, chapati or dosa.
