INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

For Dough: 
  • 1 Cup of Wheat flour
  • 1/2 Cup of Maida flour
  • 1/2 Cup of Cornflour
  • Salt- as per taste
For Stuffing:
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/4th cup Tomato sauce
  • 2 Potatoes, boiled & smashed
  • 2 Tbsp Frankie Masala
Other:
  • 1 Tsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 Tsp Green chilli Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Tamarind sauce

QUICK LOOK OF RECIPE:

  • Add all the flours and salt as per taste in a mixing bowl. Prepare the soft dough by adding enough water. Prepare chapati from the dough
  • Heat oil in a pan, add tomato sauce, boiled potatoes, Frankie masala. Add salt as per your taste and cook for few more minutes.
  • Turn off the flame. Take ball-sized stuffing and roll it in between your 2 palms and prepare Patti shape stuffing. cook it for a few seconds on a hot Tawa both the sides.
  • Take previously prepared roti, spread tomato sauce, tamarind chutney, green chilli sauce or mint chutney uniformly. place aloo Patti over the centre of the roti. Sprinkle a little salt, chat masala and red chilli powder.
  • Fold all the sides of roti inward and pack it.
  • Enjoy the aloo Frankie with your evening cup of tea.

HOW TO MAKE:

(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)

1. Add wheat flour, cornflour, maida and salt as per taste in a mixing bowl. Prepare the soft dough by adding enough water just the same as normal roti dough.


2. Take ball sized dough, place it on a flat surface sprinkle some wheat flour so that dough doesn't stick to the board. roll it over in circular shape.


3. Spread a tsp of oil in a hot Tawa, cook chapati for 2 minutes both the sides and keep it aside.


4. Heat oil in a pan add tomato sauce, boiled potatoes, Frankie masala. Saute and cook for 2 minutes.


5. Add salt as per your taste and cook for few more minutes.


6. Turn off the flame and let it cool down for a few minutes. Take ball-sized stuffing and roll it in between your 2 palms and prepare Patti shape stuffing.


7. Spread a tsp of oil over hot Tawa and place aloo Patti on a hot Tawa cook for few seconds both the sides.


8. Take previously prepared roti, spread tomato sauce, tamarind chutney, green chilli sauce or mint chutney uniformly. place aloo Patti over the centre of the roti. Sprinkle a little salt, chat masala and red chilli powder.


9. Fold all the sides of roti inward and pack it.


10. Enjoy the aloo roll with your evening cup of tea.
