    Desiccated coconut is prepared by removing natural moisture content and grinding them into powder. It is the source of healthy fat which has no cholesterol and contains fibre, copper etc..
 We can use this powder until 6 months by preserving this in Ziploc/ plastic bags.
It is used to prepare Indian desserts/ sweets etc..

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

  • 1/2 Coconut, grated

QUICK LOOK OF RECIPE:

  • Saute a cup of grated coconut for 10 minutes over low flame.

  • Transfer them into a mixer jar.

  • Grind into a powder.

  • Now, the Desiccated coconut powder is ready to use.

HOW TO MAKE:

(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)

1. Add 1 cup of freshly grated coconut to a pan.


2. Saute until the moisture content of the coconut vanishes. Approximately 10 minutes, make sure the flame is low while sauteing otherwise coconut will become Brown.


3. After 10 minutes, turn off the flame and let the coconut become cool.


4. Transfer all the fried coconut into a mixer jar.


5. Grind into a powder. Don't add water.


6. Now the desiccated coconut powder is ready to use.


7. Store it in an airtight container and use whenever you want for the recipes like sweets, pulao, rice items etc..
