INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
- 8 Poori
- 1 Onion, roughly chopped
- 2 Green chillies, slitted
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tbsp Chat masala
- 1 tbsp Pav baji masala
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup Green peas, overnight soaked and boiled
- 1/2 tbsp Garam masala
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Bombay Mixture
QUICK LOOK OF RECIPE:
- Heat oil in a pan. add roughly chopped onions, tomato, spotted green chillies and ginger garlic. Saute it for 2 minutes. grind them into a fine paste.
- Heat oil in the same. Add the grounded paste and saute until oil separates. Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, pav baji masala, peas, salt as per taste. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add 3 to 4 cups of water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes turn off the flame and keep it aside.
- Arrange poori in a plate. pour prepared masala gravy. Garnish it with chopped onions, tomatoes, Bombay mixture and coriander leaves.
HOW TO MAKE:
(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)
1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. when it heated, add roughly chopped onions, tomato, spotted green chillies and ginger garlic. Saute it for 2 minutes.
2. Let the sauteed mixture cool down for few minutes, grind them into a fine paste by adding little amount of water.
3. Heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil in the same. Add the grounded paste and saute for 3 to 4 minutes until oil separates. Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, pav baji masala, salt and saute for 2 minutes.
4. Also add peas. At this stage add little water if the masala paste starts to burning.
5. Add 3 to 4 cups of water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes turn off the flame and keep it aside.
6. Arrange poori in a plate. pour prepared masala gravy. Garnish it with chopped onions, tomatoes, Bombay mixture and coriander leaves.
7. Enjoy the street style masala poori!!!
