INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

  • 2 Onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 Tomato, roughly chopped
  • 2 Green chillies, slitted
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 cloves
  • 1 Kapok buds
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 100 grams Paneer
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 1 Cup Peas, overnight soaked & boiled
  • 4 to 5 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as per taste

QUICK LOOK OF RECIPE:

  • Heat oil in a pan. add onions, tomato, green chillies and ginger-garlic. Saute it for 2 minutes. grind them into a fine paste.
  • .Heat oil in a pan. Add cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf. Let them splutter for 30 seconds.
  • Add the grounded masala paste and saute until oil separates. Then add coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix all together.
  • Add little water and overnight soaked and boiled peas. 
  • Pour enough water then add garam masala and mix well.
  • Add cubed paneer and Cover the lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with the chapati/ roti.

HOW TO MAKE:

(STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE WITH PHOTOS)

1. Heat 2 Tbsp of oil in a pan. when it is heated, add roughly chopped onion, green chillies and saute for 2 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes and ginger-garlic paste. Saute until tomatoes become mushy.


2. Turn off the flame and let it become cool. Transfer them into the jar and grind into a thick paste by adding little water.


3. Heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf. Let them shutter for 30 seconds.


4. Add the grounded masala paste and saute until oil separates. Then add coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Mix all together.


5. Add little water to avoid burning masala. Also, add overnight soaked and boiled peas. Give them a good mix.


6. Pour enough water according to the consistency of the curry you want. Let it boil for a few minutes, then add garam masala and mix well.


7. Add cubed paneer and mix well.


8. Cover the lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.


9. After 20 minutes, add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with the chapati/ roti.
